* On the same day, the Phu Yen provincial authorities and people joined an incense-offering ceremony to pay homage to President Ho Chi Minh at the Uncle Ho Memorial site in Son Dinh commune, Son Hoa district.

Speaking at the ceremony, the provincial leadership highlighted the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, hoping that local staff, employees and citizens would continue following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, promoting creativity and solidarity to overcome hardship and striving to fulfill their assigned tasks.

* The Army Corps 4’s leadership has just reviewed the two-year implementation of the Politburo’s Directive No.5 and the Central Military Commission’s Directive No.87 on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and lifestyle in combination with the campaign “Promoting tradition, devoting talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in the 2016-2018 period.

They gave awards to 16 outstanding groups and 33 individuals on the occasion.

* On May 17 afternoon, the Ho Chi Minh municipal Border Guard Command held a ceremony to commemorate the 128th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890) and review the two-year implementation of Directive No.5 of the Politburo.

Accordingly, the unit combined the implementation of Directive No.5 with the campaign “Promoting tradition, devoting talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers” and relevant emulation movements in the locality. While conducting social programs, the unit handed over 20 houses to policy beneficiaries, offered health check-ups to over 4,000 people and assisted 52 needy students. On this occasion, the unit conferred prizes on its six groups and 12 individuals for their good task performance.
