In 2023, the corps reached important outcomes, exceeding set targets. Addressing the event, Gen. Nghia hailed the unit’s great efforts in fulfilling all assigned missions in 2023. He also requested the unit to continue to boost leadership to raise the effectiveness of key projects with good quality.

* On the same day, Corps 18’s Party Committee also held a similar event for task implementation in 2024. The event was attended by Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh.

Reportedly, in 2023, the unit has well performed its production and business task with good outcomes. Speaking at the conference, Gen. Minh asked the unit to effectively realize the direction of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong during the 8th conference of the Central Military Commission (CMC) for the 2020-2025 period, concretize the Party’s guidelines and policies as well as the CMC’s resolutions in the implementation of its assigned tasks. In addition, the unit should do business as regulated, the unit’s Party Committee should continue to build an exemplary, and outstanding unit, and the strong and healthy Party organization.

During the conference of the Border Guard Command |
* In 2023, regarding Party and political work, the Vietnam Border Guard Command strictly implemented all directions and resolutions of higher levels in close connection with reality. In 2024, the unit continues to comprehensively conduct all instructions and plans in all fields of Party and political work.
* Last year, Military Region 1 strictly ensured combat readiness, internal political security and social order in the areas, while protecting national sovereignty in border areas.
During the conference to roll out missions for 2024 of Military Region 1, the unit was determined to strictly carry out resolutions ad directions of the CMC and Defense Ministry on defense and military tasks, grasp the situations so as to be ready in any circumstances. It will also closely work with local authorities to build up the strong defensive areas.
* On January 4, a conference was held by Military Region 3 to review the implementation of military and defense tasks in 2023. Last year, the unit closely coordinated with the local authorities to excellently perform its assigned tasks.
Regarding missions for 2024, the unit’s command requested affiliated units to strictly implement directions of higher levels, ensure combat readiness, and make preparation for education and training tasks, to name but a few.
* The same day, the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center organized a politico-military conference to review its task performance in 2023 and map out missions for 2024. In 2023, the center actively overcame difficulties and fulfilled all assigned missions.

With regard to task requirements this year, the center will boost scientific research and expand international cooperation while implementing projects as scheduled. It will also conduct activities in celebration of big events of the military and the country.
