According to the report delivered by Senior Colonel Nguyen Thanh Pho, Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff of the corps, in 2023, the unit’s Party committees, chains-of-commands at all levels directed their affiliates to complete all set targets. Particularly, the quality of training, combat readiness, and unit building were improved dramatically together with higher leadership capability and combat strength of party cells. In addition, the living standard of troops was raised and the whole unit stayed united, ensured absolute safety in all aspects.

Addressing the conference, Maj. Gen. Truong Manh Dung emphasized that since its inception, Army Corps 12 has promptly stabilized organization, personnel, and all other aspects. It has led its affiliated agencies, units, schools to adjust their duties, combat readiness plans in line with the Ministry of National Defense’s regulations. It has successfully held the debut ceremony of the corps, established new affiliates, consolidated Party committees and Party cells, chains-of-command and especially conducted an exercise.
This year, the unit will continue to effectively implement its action theme for 2024 named “Basic year for completion of force adjustment in elite, compact, strong direction.”
In the year, it will promote farming activities, improve health care and training quality for troops, further practice for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, achieve high results at festivals, and put their personnel and vehicles on standby for disasters, disease prevention and search and rescue operations while enhancing administrative reform and digital transformation.
The unit’s commander also asked affiliated agencies and units to work closely with authorized agencies, party committees, authorities in localities they are stationed, well perform policy work, organize gratitude activities during big events.
At the event, Maj. Gen. Nguyen Duc Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Army Corps 12 launched the “determined-to-win” emulation movement 2024 under the theme “United, exemplary, disciplinary, active, creative, determined-to-win,” and a high-level emulation drive from January 8 to February 29 to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) and welcome lunar New Year 2024.
On the occasion, the organizer approved the paper on suggesting presentation of the Government’s emulation flag to Division 312. Leaders of the corps presented the “Good Training Unit” flag and “Comprehensively-strong, exemplary, typical unit” title of the Ministry of National Defense (MND) to nine groups and the MND’s emulation flag to six collectives and Army Corps 12’s emulation flag to seven groups.
