The event was chaired by Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San.
Titled “The 80-year journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness,” the exhibition will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Hanoi from August 28 to September 5.

The MND is responsible for organizing, designing, constructing, and operating its exhibition area within the indoor section themed “Shaping development.” This includes building the theme, planning the layout, allocating display space, and selecting military weapons and defense equipment symbolizing the strength of the Vietnam People's Army. Meanwhile, the MND will also organize and display an outdoor exhibition space under the theme “The sword and the shield,” and mobilize MND-managed enterprises operating in aerospace and telecommunications to participate in a thematic display area titled “Aspiration for the sky.”
Concluding the conference, Sr. Lt. Gen. Vu Hai San required agencies and units to pro-actively collaborated with each other to organize the exhibition in a professional and impressive manner, ensuring absolutely safe in all aspects.
In detail, the General Department of Defense Industry will coordinate with relevant agencies and units to give advice and propose the content and display plans for the MND at the exhibition; construct the indoor exhibition area which will showcase the traditions, history, and achievements of the Vietnam People's Army; and work with the Department of Military Science to arrange and decorate the outdoor exhibition area displaying military weapons and technical equipment.
The General Department of Logistics and Technical Services will direct and guide relevant agencies and units to ensure logistics and medical support, including accommodations for forces to be in charge of in the MND’s booths at the exhibition.
Command 86 will ensure cyber-security and information safety for the MND's information systems at the exhibition area. The Department of Foreign Relations propose to invite international delegations of the MND to visit the exhibition and the military display area. The Department of Political Education and Information and the Department of Military Internal Security Protection are assigned to develop plans and conduct dissemination activities for the event, as well as give recommendations and implement measures to ensure security and safety for the MND’s exhibition area, among others.
