Unexploded bomb moved to safer place for detonation
PANO – Nguyen Thanh Long, a local resident in Hong Hai ward, Ha Long city (Quang Ninh province) detected an unexploded bomb weighing more than 100kg in the area at 10:45 on October 7 while constructing the foundation of a house.

Long immediately informed local authorities, who immediately blockaded the scene and reported the situation to agencies at higher levels.
The Quang Ninh provincial Military Command, in coordination with the Ha Long city Military Command, sent troops to the scene to bring the bomb to a safe place for detonation.
The 1.5m long bomb has a diameter of 40cm and is believed to have been left by the US during the war in Vietnam.
