Bomb moved to safer place for detonation
PANO - Military engineers from the Hai Phong city Military Command successfully moved a large bomb to a safer place for detonation on October 6.
The MK81 bomb, 15cm in diameter, 2m in length and 110kg in weight, was found in Cat Ba town by local fishermen.
The bomb was believed to be dropped by US aircraft during the war in Vietnam.
Upon receiving the information, the Hai Phong city Military Command dispatched its engineers to the scene to move the bomb to a safe site for detonation.
