PANO – Over the last few days, people in Tien Hai District (Thai Binh Province) have seen Uncle Ho’s soldiers helping local farmers promptly harvest their crops after the Son Tinh Storm.
According to Senior Lieutenant-Colonel Nguyen Cao Long, Commander of Regiment 8, Division 395 (Military Zone 3), before and during the Storm No.8, the unit’s cadres and soldiers presented on location with local residents in coping with the severe storm.
Since the storm abated, the unit mobilized 950 troops to come to all stricken communes in Tien Hai in order to help farmers harvest their crops.
“At present, the district has a large number of submerged rice fields that need to be harvested immediately”, said Senior Lieutenant-Colonel Long.
