General Nguyen Tan Cuong speaks at the event. |
Units have contributed significantly and effectively to education and training projects and initiatives. They have created favorable conditions for schools to use training grounds, firing ranges, weapons, and equipment for education and training purposes. This has resulted in a high level of unity in awareness and responsibility between schools and units, exploiting their potential and strengths in human resource training.
Speaking at the event, General Cuong requested all agencies, units, and schools in the military to thoroughly study and strictly implement the resolutions, conclusions, and directives from the Party Central Committee, Central Military Commission (CMC), Ministry of National Defense, especially the Politburo’s Conclusion 91 dated August 12, 2024, and the CMC’s Resolutions 1657 and 1659 dated December 20, 2022, along with education and training projects and plans; create a strong change in awareness and actions in implementing the motto; raise the responsibility, pro-activeness, creativity, and determination of party committees, chains-of-command at all levels, and leaders in implementing solutions to improve the quality of education and training.
The Chief of the General Staff emphasized the need to enhance the effectiveness of coordination between educational management agencies at all levels and units and schools; between schools and units; between schools and other educational organizations inside and outside the military; and between schools and families and localities in their activities. Schools must take full responsibility for the quality of education and training, but units must consider the quality of the school's training as their combat readiness capabilities and be responsible for participating in and coordinating in implementing education and training missions.

Agencies and units should carefully study and propose mechanisms and policies for the rotation and transfer of unit personnel to schools and vice versa to address the limitations; encourage more capable officers to work at schools; come up with methods to develop a contingent of experts and scientists who both teach and research in schools and actively participate in national socio-economic, scientific and technological projects, defense industry development, and military modernization.
General Cuong also stressed the need to renovate training programs and teaching methods. He said that focus should be placed on practical learning, combating achievement disease, and equipping learners with studying methods to ensure that graduates have the necessary qualities, abilities, and adaptability to perform well in any new working environment and effectively accomplish assigned tasks.
