Gen. Cuong, Chief of the General Staff, Deputy Defense Minister and Head of the Ministry of National Defense (MND)’s Military Enrollment Committee, chaired a meeting of the MND to review the military enrollment work in 2023 and work out tasks for 2024 with the participation of heads of relevant agencies, units, and schools in the whole military.

According to a report delivered by Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Oanh, Director of the Department of Military School Management under the General Staff, last year, the dissemination and career orientation work was conducted innovatively by military schools in terms of contents and forms.

Military schools received enrolled students and re-checked their health closely in accordance with the MND’s regulations. Moreover, the marking, evaluation and study of postgraduate applications were strictly conducted. In the year, targets in doctoral, master, and specialized training were met with high rates.
Highly praising the pro-activeness and great efforts of relevant agencies, units and schools in the work in 2023, Gen. Cuong pointed out some shortcomings and asked them to synchronously and effectively develop solutions to draw more students.
Gen. Cuong also requested military schools to enhance dissemination at high schools and via press agencies.

Gen. Cuong emphasized that military enrollment work plays a leading role in the education and training work of military schools. Thus, the good performance of the work will contribute to consolidating trust of students and people in military training environment and spreading the good images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in society.
The head of the MND’s Military Enrollment Committee urged agencies, units, and schools in the military to embrace and well implement the military enrollment work in 2024, ensure absolute safety and highest quality.
