PANO - The Navy organized a training drive and live fire test of infantry guns at sea for the southern coastal self-defence force, on October 12th to 14th under the direction of Major General Nguyen Duy Nghien, Director of the Department of Militia and Self-Defence under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.

The test aimed to evaluate the technical use of infantry guns at sea and the combat readiness ability of marine self-defence forces.

During the training and test, the Staff of the Navy closely combined the tactical formation with the practice of different firing techniques. The test yielded good results from the participants and was performed safely.

Relevant organizations of the Ministry of National Defence and the Staff of the Navy drew lessons from the training and the test and directed naval squadrons to conduct more training to master and successfully exploit equipped weapons and equipment and ensure safety during training.
