Here are the Top 10 programs.
1. All military units seriously embraced and implemented resolutions and action plans of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Congresses at all levels. They held tens of thousands of meetings and exchanges, over 1,500 festivals and gala nights in praise of patriotism and the beauty of the country and the people, and hundreds of training courses for officers in charge of Youth Union work.

2. Youth Union organizations in the military actively responded to the Military Youth Emulation Movement in the period of 2017-2022, with focus on promoting their vanguard role, enthusiasm and creativity to carry out effectively training and combat readiness and unit-building missions as well as seriously observing laws and military discipline. Many initiatives of the military youth have been applied effectively to reality.
3. Young soldiers in the whole military joined two major seminars to further raise their awareness of promoting political stance and task performances, and of engaging in the combat against wrongful viewpoints on the Internet and social media.
4. The Military Youth Board under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), in coordination with other relevant organizations, organized this year’s traffic culture festival for young officers and soldiers.
Besides, the Military Youth Board held a contest on young troops’ knowledge of law, which received 420,000 entries from troops and youths of their twinned civilian organizations.

5. Ten individuals were chosen for the “Whole-Military Outstanding Young Faces” Award while 12 others were selected for the “Whole-Military Promising Young Faces” Award in 2017. The VPA’s General Department of Politics organized a grand ceremony honoring them.
6. The Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony of the 18th Military Creative Youth Awards. This year’s event drew the participation of 790 authors from the whole military with their 444 projects. The Defense Minister handed over certificates of merit to 19 projects while the Director of the General Department of Politics certificated 221 others. The first, second and third prize winners were also promoted to higher ranks.
7. Youth organizations in the whole military kicked off a program entitled “Border Spring - Island Tet 2018” in 306 rural areas and islands to present 30 gratitude houses, 60,000 Tet chung (square) cakes, over 18,000 gifts, and 380 scholarships worth VND 24 billion in total to disadvantaged residents and soldiers and their relatives.

8. Nearly 50,000 Youth Union members in the military participated in different meaningful activities on the occasion of the 71st Vietnamese Wounded Soldiers' and Martyrs' Day (July 27).
9. In response to the 2018 Youth Month and Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, young soldiers upgraded and built over 8,400 youth projects; planted and cultivated 800,000 trees; cleaned up over 600km of beaches; built 138 gratitude houses; provided free health checkups and medicines to 4,500 policy beneficiaries; donated more than 8,000 blood units; and held 92 military semester programs for school students, to name but a few.
10. The Military Youth Board held young officer exchange programs for Vietnamese young officers with their foreign peers from India, China, Laos, Singapore, Cambodia, and Myanmar. These meetings helped promote their cooperation, friendship, and mutual understanding in line with the foreign policy of the Vietnamese Party and State.
