During the three-day contest, 126 contestants from 21 military universities and training schools show their knowledge of of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s thought as well as Vietnam’s history and culture, documents of the 12th National Congress, and Resolution of the 10th Military Party Congress.

The contest, known as the Olympiad on Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s thought, is part of the efforts to raise the quality of teaching and studying social sciences and humanities, improve the political awareness of troops, and promote studying movements at military schools, contributing to building a revolutionary, regular, elite and increasingly modernized military to protect the nation.

The contest is also an opportunity for troops to meet and exchange experience in studying the subjects of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s thought and seek effective methods to improve the quality of teaching and studying these subjects, making contribution to fighting wrongful viewpoints of hostile forces and protecting Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s thought.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Do Can, GDP’s Deputy Director, required contestants to strictly observe the contest regulations and strive to obtain the best results.
