Sr. Lt. Gen. Do Xuan Tung extends Tet greetings to GDP’s affiliated units
PANO - On February 5, a delegation of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), led by Senior Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, GDP Deputy Director, visited and extended 2026 Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN), Military Broadcasting Center, People’s Army Publishing House, People’s Army Cinema, and Military Arts and Letters Magazine.
At the PAN, General Tung inspected the workplace and grasped the unit’s situation. He praised the newspaper for adhering to its principles, timely reflecting Party guidelines and the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers. The PAN has been a pioneer in protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, successfully organizing major contests, and ranking among the top 10 central press agencies in digital transformation.

Regarding future tasks, General Tung requested the PAN to maintain its role as the military’s leading press agency; focus on disseminating the spirit of the 14th National Party Congress and the strategy for building the military in the new era. The unit should promote the cultural values of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and effectively implement the project to develop the PAN into a key multimedia agency by 2030, with a vision toward 2045.
* Working with the Military Broadcasting Center, People’s Army Publishing House, People’s Army Cinema, and Military Arts and Letters Magazine, General Tung highly appreciated their political task performance over the past year.
The GDP Deputy Director requested the units to strictly implement directives on combat readiness and organize the Tet celebration with the motto “joyful, healthy, safe, economical, and high combat readiness.”
The units were instructed to take good care of their staff, especially those facing difficulties or on duty during Tet; strictly maintain duty rosters; and ensure fire safety. Immediately after Tet, the units must quickly resume work, ensuring the holiday does not affect their task performance.
