Meanwhile, Regiment 2 has strictly observed combat readiness regulation; regularly reviewed and updated operational documents and response plans for fire, explosion, storms, and floods; and ensured Party and political work.

Addressing the  units, Gen. Ngoc highly praised the two units for their unity and task performance. He urged them to update combat plans, intensify training, strict observe guard and patrol duties, military discipline, ensure safety of depots and equipped weapons, manage troops’ thought and ensure troops’ welfare during the upcoming Tet holiday.

* At the working session with the Institute of Weapons under the General Department of Defense Industry on January 29, Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Pham Hoai Nam commended the unit for its pro-active and innovative approach, and gradual mastery of technologies, meeting task requirements in the new situation. He called for closer alignment with higher level strategic resolutions, accelerated project delivery with quality and safety, mastery of modern and smart weapons, faster acceptance of completed products, and diversification of weapons, especially next-generation systems.

* The same day, Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Duc Thai chaired a meeting on organizing the “Border spring warms people’s hearts” program 2026 in Ha Tinh province, which is scheduled to be co-organized by the provincial Border Guard Command and the provincial People’s Committee and be broadcast live on January 31 evening.

The program will include Tet gift presentation, scholarship granting, free health check-ups, cultural activities, “zero VND stalls,” housing handovers to the Chut ethnic people, and an art exchange.

* Also on January 29, Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Gau visited and conveyed New Year wishes to Bac Ninh province, affirming support for local development and asking continued facilitation for military units.

While in Bac Ninh, the defense leader visited and presented Tet gifts to the provincial military command.
