Gen. Oai presents gifts and extends Tet greetings to the Party Committee and authorities of Tho Chau special zone.

The delegation visited, presented gifts and extended Tet greetings to the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Tho Chau special zone; socio-political organizations; officers and soldiers of armed forces units and people on Tho Chau Island.

During the meetings, Lt. Gen. Bui Quoc Oai affirmed that the Vietnam Coast Guard always closely coordinates with local Party committees, authorities and forces in carrying out socio-economic development tasks coupled with defense and security consolidation and maritime sovereignty safeguarding.

While visiting and extending Tet greetings to troops of Regiment 152 under Military Region 9, Gen. Oai highly praised the unit’s achievements in training, combat readiness duty, and coordination in protecting assigned waters and island areas. He hoped that the troops would continue to uphold their traditions, maintain strong political stance, enhance overall quality and combat strength, and together with the coast guard force firmly safeguard sovereignty, security, order and safety in Vietnam’s waters and island areas.

On the same day, the delegation inspected combat readiness and preparations for the upcoming Tet at Coast Guard Station No.4 under the Coast Guard Region 4 Command, and extended Tet greetings to on-duty officers and soldiers.

On this occasion, the delegation also conducted legal awareness activities and presented gifts, national flags and portraits of Uncle Ho to fishermen on fishing vessels anchored at Bai Ngu Port.
