PANO - Soldiers from Farm Forestry 155, stationed at the Binh Lieu border, have helped the local people in three communes of Dong Van, Dong Tam and Tinh Huc, Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province with poverty and hunger elimination.

Most recently, 31 households of Dao ethnic groups in Phat Chi new economic zone in Dong Van commune, were given new houses.

In the past, Phat Chi used to be a no-man’s land; no people, no schools, no houses, no electricity and no fresh water.

However, thanks to continuous instructions and assistance given by the Farm Forestry 155’s soldiers on husbandry and cultivating wet rice, the lives of the local people have been much improved.

In addition, the soldiers have also helped to construct several inter-village roads, a school and a kindergarten for the local residents.
