The school's cadres and cadets pay homage to Gac Ma soldiers.

The commemoration took place in Cam Hai Dong townlet, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province as an activity to celebrate the 10th congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s chapter of the school.

At the monument dedicated to Gac Ma soldiers, more than 60 cadres, Youth Union members and youths, representing the school’s young generation, laid wreath, offered incense in tribute to 64 troops of the Vietnam People’s Navy who bravely fought and sacrificed to safeguard Gac Ma Reef 34 years ago, contributing to protecting national sacred maritime sovereignty.

During the visit to the monument, participating youths learnt about the fallen naval troops’ courage and loyalty, their formation of an immortal circle with the national flag in hand showing their high determination to defend each inch of land, sea, and islands of the nation when they laid down their lives for the nation. This made the school’s youths feel proud and inspires them to dedicate to the Fatherland and the people. It also educated the school’s cadres and Youth Union members about the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source,” and gratitude to the great sacrifice of heroes and martyrs, and fostered their revolutionary ideas, resilience, and indomitable spirit. It was seen as a source of encouragement for them to achieve all assignments.
