The event was chaired by GDP’s Deputy Chief Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet.

The organizing panel received more than 100 reports from leaders, commanding officers, and scientists in the whole military. At the event, delegates clarified the role of social sciences and humanities education, looked into shortcomings in carrying out the missions and causes, and proposed measures to enhance the quality of social sciences and humanities education in military schools.

Concluding the seminar, Senior Lieutenant General Quyet highly appreciated delegations’ reports, praised functional agencies for their responsibility and coordination in preparing for the event.

Emphasizing the importance of renewing social sciences and humanities education methods in military schools, the GDP’s deputy chief asked units to pay attention to properly investing in funding, facilities and equipment for studying and teaching; organizing contests on social sciences and humanities learning and teaching. He added that party committees and chains-of-command of agencies, units, and schools should strengthen the contingent of social sciences and humanities instructors and enhance their competence, skills, and experience to meet the requirement of education and training in the new period.

An overview of the event

Gen. Quyet assigned the Department of Political Education and Information to cooperate with agencies, units, and military schools to continue to study and complete the building of the Ministry of National Defense’s project on renewing social sciences and humanities education in military schools to submit to the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission as planned.
