During the event, General Sy briefed delegates on the establishment and development of Corps 15, effective models in its participation in economic development in combination with defense and security enhancement in the region.

The corps is stationed in the provinces of Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Quang Binh, and Binh Dinh in Vietnam, Attapeu in Laos, and Ratanakiri in Cambodia.
Over the past 40 years, troops of the corps have overcome difficulties and gained important achievements, contributing to bringing cozy and happy lives to local people, while enhancing defense and security in the region.

At the seminar, delegates discussed theoretical and practical issues related to the participation of the military in economic development and strengthening defense and security in general, and in the Central Highlands region in particular; exchanged results and valuable lessons learned from Corps 15's task performance.

Concluding the seminar, General Khoa hailed the corps’ implementation of socio-economic development in combination with defense and security enhancement in the region, while asking officers, instructors and learners to further make recommendations to the Party, State, Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense, in line with reality and the cause of national construction and protection. He also thanked the corps for its warm reception.

On the occasion, the officers, instructors, and trainees of a refresher course on defense and security of the National Defense Academy presented ten water purifiers and ten refrigerators, worth totally VND 120 million, to Hoa Hong Kindergarten of Company 74, and handed over 60 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to village elders in the area.
