PANO – A high-ranking military delegation, led by Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh, visited the Regiment 910, under the Air Force Officer School on March 31st.

During the past 54 years of building and development, Regiment 910 has conducted 73 training courses for over 1,000 pilots to handle 12 different kinds of aircraft for the Air Defence and Air Force Service of Vietnam and neighboring countries’ armies.

Since 2008, the unit has improved its training programs and each year can turn out 10 or 11 skilled pilots. All lecturers of the Regiment can co-fly with the trainees and flight safety has been maintained for the last 5 consecutive years.

General Phung Quang Thanh highly appreciated the unit’ endeavors to obtain these encouraging achievements over the past years and asked the troops to keep up the good work with the focus on improving both professional and political and ideological training.

General Thanh also asked the unit leaders to see to soldiers’ health and work jointly with local authorities, to fulfill all assigned tasks.

The same day, General Phung Quang Thanh and other delegates visited the “Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea” relic site at Vung Ro Wharf and offered incense to martyrs at the Nui Nhan Martyrs’ Cemetery in Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province.
