After a month, the course met all the set task requirements. Accordingly, instructors made good preparations for the course while organizing training as regulated. Meanwhile, the organizing panel strictly maintained regulations of the class with absolute safety during the course for 20 Lao officers.

An overview of the event

The Lao trainees during the refresher course raised their determination and followed all regulations of the course. They also toured Chieng Son Border Post. As a result, all of the trainees successfully completed the course and received certificates.

Lieutenant Khamkeo Onta, Second-in-Command of Company 161 of the Luang Prabang provincial Military Command, on behalf of the 20 Lao officers, thanked the Son La provincial Border Guard Command for creating favorable conditions for them to complete the course, adding that they would apply what they have learnt from the course to their task implementation. In addition, the Lao side will also work closely with the Son La provincial Border Guard Command to build the shared borderline of peace, solidarity, cooperation and development.

For his part, Senior Colonel Ban Van Chanh, Second-in-Command of the Son La provincial Border Guard Command, hailed the outcomes of the Lao officers during the course, hoping that in the coming time, the border protection forces of the two provinces of Luang Prabang (Laos) and Son La (Vietnam) will further contribute to boosting solidarity and firmly protecting national sovereignty in border areas, as well as building up the bilateral cooperation and relations.
