Delegation of Lao People’s Army Newspaper tours Thai Nguyen historical and cultural relic sites
PANO - In the framework of a refresher course on journalism in Vietnam, on September 30, a delegation of the Lao People’s Army Newspaper visited the National Special Relic of Dinh Hoa ATK (Safety Zone), Thai Nguyen province, and toured some historical relic sites in the areas to learn about the traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army.
Their first stop in the area was Tin Keo relic in Phu Dinh commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province - where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked from 1947 to 1954. In the past, on December 6, 1953, President Ho Chi Minh chaired a conference of the Politburo and decided to launch Dien Bien Phu Campaign, paving the way for the success of the national resistance war against French colonists.
On the occasion, the delegation was briefed on the historical events in line with each exhibit in the Dinh Hoa ATK museum, including the meeting between Prince Souphanouvong and President Ho Chi Minh. These pictures proved the good friendship between President Ho Chi Minh and Prince Souphanouvong, as well as the solidarity between Laos and Vietnam during the cause of national independence and freedom.
Lieutenant Colonel Sonefay Chanthavongsy, Deputy Head of the Division for reporters and collaborators of the Lao People’s Army Newspaper, held that the visit gave them a chance to pay tribute to the great contribution of President Ho Chi Minh and Prince Souphanouvong - who laid the foundation for the Vietnam - Laos traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation, affirming that they would promote the heroic traditions to further cultivate the bilateral friendship and solidarity.
Here are some photos during the event.
