Press sector contributes to disseminating border guard force’s feats-of-arms

Speaking at the meeting, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan thanked press agencies both inside and outside the military for their active cooperation and effective dissemination of the force's task accomplishment. This has contributed to strengthening the solidarity between troops and people and maintaining political stability and social order in border areas.

General Tuan expected that in 2025, press agencies will continue to collaborate with the Vietnam Border Guard Command in promoting dissemination of the management and protection of national sovereignty, territory, and border security. The focus should be on encouraging and guiding all levels, sectors, and localities to continue implementing the national border defense strategy, the Vietnam Border Guard Law; honoring and popularizing the exemplary collectives and individuals in protecting national sovereignty and border security; highlighting the border guard force’s achievements in building and strengthening political bases and assisting people in conducting socio-economic development models.

The Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command added that the dissemination should highlight the results of defense diplomacy and border work; the implementation of treaties, protocols, agreements, and regulations related to border and territorial issues and the management and protection of borders and border gates that have been signed between Vietnam and China, Laos, Cambodia; meaningful exchanges between the border guard force of Vietnam and those of other neighboring countries.

Activities commemorating the 66th anniversary of the border guard’s foundation day and the 36th anniversary of the "All People’s Border Guard Day," the border guard units’ Party Congresses and their activities in celebration of major national holidays such as the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, and the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) should be paid attention to. These efforts will help spread the achievements of the border guard force and beautify their image in the hearts of the people.
