Preparations for tenth military-wide “Determined to win” emulation congress reviewed
PANO - The organizing panel for the upcoming tenth military-wide “Determined to win” emulation congress reviewed preparations for the congress at a meeting on June 4 in Hanoi under the chair of its head Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics.
According to a report by the steering board of the congress’ organizer and comments by the delegates, relevant agencies and units have made good preparations for the congress.
Accordingly, the congress is scheduled to be held in late June or early July for two days. The participants will pay homage to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi and lay a wreath at the Monument dedicated to fallen soldiers on Bac Son Street. They will then participate in the plenary session of the congress on the following day. Other sidelines activities include a meeting between the leadership of the Ministry of National Defense and General Department of Politics and representatives from military youth union organization, the labor union and women’s association, and an exhibition in celebration of the congress.
The organizer will hold a press conference on the congress on June 19.
In his concluding speech, General Nghia highly valued the great efforts of the organizer of the congress and other relevant bodies. He asked them to follow closely the schedule of the Whole-Army Politico-Military Conference as well and other important activities of the military. He urged them to make flexible adjustments and boost close coordination among related units to ensure the success of the congress.
General Nghia also requested them to continue double-checking and completing the congress’s agenda and other logistics services, and enhancing information dissemination before, during, and after the congress on both military and civilian mass media.
The official session of the congress is planned to broadcast live on Channel 1 of Vietnam Television (VTV1).
