This is the first time Vietnam will compete in the “Gunsmith Master” event.

The team has been practicing since January 6 this year under the direction of the Department of Military Weapons and Equipment. They have studied the games’ regulations, improved their fitness, and honed technical and shooting skills through intensive training based on assumed scenarios.

At the meeting, General Tung highly praised the team members’ all-out efforts and high responsibility and stressed that the team should take advantage of the time to familiarize themselves with the weapons and the training ground. He stressed, if they detect any damages or defects in weaponry and equipment, they must promptly report on the organizers for repair or change.

He also urged the team to hone skills, improve leadership, be confident, and handle situations in a quick and accurate manner. The team should also promote the beautiful image of Vietnam People’s Army among foreign teams and local audiences.
