Dak Lak border guards receives Third-class Fatherland Protection Order
PANO - The Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony on May 23 to mark the 50th foundation anniversary of the Dak Lak Border Guard and receive the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order.
Lt. Gen. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, attended and chaired the event.
Over the past 50 years of fighting, building and growth, generations of Dak Lak border troops have remained absolutely loyal to the Party, devoted to the people, and bravely overcome all difficulties to successfully fulfill their duties.

In recent years, the province’s border guard force has effectively carried out its mission of protecting national sovereignty and border security. It has implemented numerous practical programs, including “Standing by Women in Border Areas,” “Paving the Way for Children to Go to School – Adopted Children of Border Posts,” and “Military Troops Support Children to Go to School,” along with a series of activities aimed at helping local people improve their livelihoods, thereby contributing to the stability and development of border areas.
Speaking at the event, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Anh Tuan praised the province’s border guard force for its accomplishments over the past 50 years. He also urged the force to actively and proactively implement border management tasks in an effective and comprehensive manner to firmly safeguard national sovereignty, maintain political security, and ensure social order and safety in border areas. These efforts, he emphasized, would contribute to building a stronger border guard force capable of meeting task requirements in the new context.

In recognition of its achievements, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command was awarded the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order. At the event, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Anh Tuan presented the prestigious decoration to the command. The provincial People’s Committee also awarded certificates of merit to five collectives and eight individuals in acknowledgment of their outstanding contributions to the development of the province’s border guard force.
