Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong and his delegation offered flowers and incense to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers and advisors. The remains of the Vietnamese volunteer troops and military advisors were recovered during the 2024-2025 dry season by Search and Collection Team 584 of the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, delegates offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express deep gratitude to those who had devoted their youth and bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of peace, independence, and freedom of the Fatherland, as well as in fulfilling noble international missions.

On the same day, in Ngan Thuy Commune, Le Thuy District, Quang Binh Province, General Luong held a working session with Defense-Economic Unit 70 under Corps 15.

After listening to reports on the unit’s task performance, feedback from delegates, and conducting inspections at affiliated units, the Deputy Minister commended the unit’s outstanding achievements. He praised their effective execution of military, defense, and socio-economic tasks despite the challenges posed by difficult terrain and harsh climate.

General Luong also acknowledged the unit’s close cooperation with the local Party committee, authorities, and other military units in maintaining political security, social order, and safety. He especially highlighted its success in mass mobilization activities that support ethnic communities in enhancing production, eradicating hunger, and reducing poverty, thereby strengthening the bond between the military and civilians.

Emphasizing the importance of military presence in disadvantaged areas, General Luong urged the unit’s Party Committee and command to continue fulfilling their political tasks, closely monitor local developments, and proactively handle contingencies.

He also emphasized the need to maintain effective business operations, improve living standards for personnel, and contribute to local socio-economic development as well as the consolidation of national defense and security.

On this occasion, General Luong presented gifts to Unit 70 and its subordinate units, to the authorities of Ngan Thuy Commune, the head of Coi Da Village, and to 38 households from the Bru-Van Kieu ethnic group in the Coi cluster of Coi Da Village.
