Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, chaired the meeting.
At the event, the Department of Military Training and School Management under the General Staff, along with leaders of relevant agencies and units, presented reports on the preparatory work for the parade.
After listening to the reports, Gen. Nghia instructed the working groups assisting the Sub-committee to finalize the directive on organizing military, militia, and self-defense forces for participation in the parade. This directive is to be submitted to the leadership of the Ministry of National Defense for approval. Once approved, it will serve as the basis for agencies and units to develop their respective plans in accordance with assigned responsibilities.
Regarding the deployment of parade forces to Hanoi for training, Gen. Nghia requested further studies to develop communication plans in naval areas where armed forces will conduct a maritime parade. Arrangements for accommodation, logistics, technical services, and transportation of parade forces must be completed by June 1 to ensure absolute safety.
The General Staff’s leader also urged functional agencies to consider shortening the movement distance of the formations of vehicles and artillery guns to the National Military Training Center No.4. Military supplies and other technical equipment should be ready for the parade troops to start their training.
