Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Huy Vinh addresses the conference.

In his directive remarks, Gen. Vinh emphasized that in 2025, the Vietnam Defense Strategy and History Institute, together with the military history sector across the armed forces, effectively advised on and implemented many military history related tasks with practical results. The entire sector conducted research and compilation of more than 500 works, and published 256 military history works and topics of both theoretical and practical significance.

The sector also advised and assisted the Ministry of National Defense (MND) in coordinating with agencies, units and localities to successfully organize numerous scientific conferences at national level and MND level, contributing to clarifying many historical issues, countering wrongful viewpoints, enhancing exchanges on historical topics, and fostering political and military thinking.

Gen. Vinh asked leaders and commanders at all levels to continue thoroughly grasping, directing and organizing effective implementation of military history work, war summaries, reviews of military and defense tasks, and military dictionary compilation.
