Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Duong returns the wallet to Phu's mother |
PANO - Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Duong, an officer at the Vocational School No9 of Military Zone 9, has recently returned a wallet to its owner, Mr. Nguyen Duong Phu at No. 112/162 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, An Lac precinct, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city.
Earlier, on his way back to the unit, Duong found a wallet at a bus station in Ho Chi Minh City with VND 2.5 million and personal papers such as identity card, motor registration and license, ATM card and others identifying the owner as Nguyen Duong Phu.
After being unable to contact Phu at the phone number found in the wallet, Duong immediately followed the address on the papers to Phu’s house, but nobody was at home at that time and he had to leave his telephone number and address for Phu’s family to contact.
The next day, Phu’s mother contacted Duong and got her son’s wallet back with all of the money and identity papers inside.
Phu’s family highly appreciated Duong‘s good deeds, as the money was Phu’s tuition fee. Because of carelessness, Phu dropped his wallet when buying a ticket at the bus station.
