State-level preliminary rehearsal for parade at Ba Dinh Square held

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and directed the rehearsal.

The program began with a torch relay ceremony, demonstrating the aspirations of the Vietnamese nation. The flame was entrusted to Lieutenant General Nguyen Duc Soat, Hero of the People’s Armed Forces, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and the person who shot down six enemy aircraft, making him one of the heroic pilots of the Vietnam People’s Army.

Thanks to meticulous, methodical training and thorough preparation, the rehearsal was carried out in close accordance with the official scenario, ensuring discipline and uniformity, and demonstrating the strength of the people’s armed forces and the great national unity.

The state-level full-dress rehearsal of the celebration is scheduled for August 30 morning.
