Reportedly, after detecting the first infected case of COVID-19 in the city of Chi Linh late last month, the provincial Military Command has implemented numerous measures to prevent the pandemic from spreading into its military units.

The military units’ commanders monitored their troops’ health, implemented body temperature checks, and asked all servicemen to use hygienic hand disinfection before entering or exiting the units.

The command set up three quick-response teams and sent over 1,500 troops and militia to localities to support other forces in the COVID-19 fight.

Hai Duong province has implemented social distancing measures for a period of 15 days starting from 0:00 on February 16 while the provincial Military Command sent 21 troops to each quarantine zone in Chi Linh and Cam Giang district for help.

At the working session, General Dat acknowledged the efforts of the provincial armed forces over the past time, and urged them to continue accelerating prevention measures, maintaining combat readiness, and enhancing information dissemination about the pandemic for locals.
