Modern-day “Son Tinh”
PANO - Amidst the sudden floods sweeping through Bac Ninh and Lang Son provinces, as torrents of water surged to submerge streets, villages, fields, and roads, Uncle Ho’s soldiers once again appeared, like “Son Tinh,” the legendary mountain deity, who tamed floods and protected the people.
On the dikes straining under the pressure of the floodwaters, thousands of officials, Party members, and soldiers have spent days braving the relentless rain at critical embankments.
With calloused hands, strong shoulders, and unwavering courage, putting the people’s safety above their own, they passed millions of sandbags hand to hand, building solid barriers to hold back the rushing waters, protecting every home, every life, and every piece of property.
