Cluster 1 includes 17 secondary schools with 100 outstanding contestants, representing 38,482 students from 86 coastal schools across Khanh Hoa province. This year’s contest features four rounds: Online competition, Face-to-face contests at cluster level, Provincial-level competition, and Regional finale among the three provinces of Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, and Lam Dong. The contest at cluster level consisted of four parts, namely Setting Sail, Riding Waves, Docking, and Marking Sovereignty.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Hoang Ngoc Thien, Political Commissar of Flotilla 32, emphasized that the contest carries profound significance in fostering patriotism and national pride, and raising students’ awareness of the strategic importance of Vietnam’s sea and islands in the cause of national construction and defense. It also helps students better understand the country’s history and traditions, as well as the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on maritime and island-related issues in accordance with international law.

The contest also integrated dissemination of the Law on Drug Prevention and Control, prevention of school violence, and communications and behavior skills, thereby enhancing students’ sense of responsibility in safeguarding national sovereignty, ensuring security, order, and safety in Vietnam’s sea and islands.
