Vietnam Airlines to launch direct Hanoi–Cebu flights on December 1

He noted the Hanoi–Cebu route will help foster tourism, trade, and cultural exchange between Vietnam and the Philippines, while bringing passengers a seamless travel experience.

The direct service will shorten travel time to just three hours, replacing the current six to eight hours with transit flights. Passengers will enjoy seamless check-in and baggage handling, with international four-star service.

The route is expected to attract two-way demand, with Philippine visitors travelling to Vietnam for tourism and business, while more Vietnamese travelers choose Cebu for leisure, study, and work.

Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates nine weekly flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Manila. With the new Hanoi–Cebu service, the carrier will increase its total Vietnam–Philippines flights to 12 per week.

To mark the launch, Vietnam Airlines is offering special fares: round-trip economy tickets from 5.66 million VND (215 USD) and business class from 24.44 million VND (taxes and fees included).

Tickets purchased by February 28, 2026, for departures from December 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026, will qualify for these promotional rates.

Passengers will also receive one additional free baggage allowance, while Lotus miles members will earn 1,000–2,000 bonus miles depending on cabin class.
