Taking to the patient at Truong Sa Island Infirmary for treatment

Upon admission to the infirmary at 6:15 a.m. on October 11, the patient was conscious and responsive, with a body temperature of 39.5°C, pulse rate of 95 beats per minute, blood pressure of 149/90 mmHg, and SpO₂ at 98%.

Initial tests showed electrolyte imbalance, which, if left untreated, could have led to severe complications and posed a risk to his life.

Doctors and medical staff at Truong Sa Island Infirmary promptly provided emergency care, including intravenous fluid therapy for electrolyte rebalancing, antibiotic treatment, fever reduction, and anti-inflammatory measures. They also conducted laboratory tests and a chest X-ray. Initial diagnosis indicated viral fever, upper respiratory infection, electrolyte disorder, and signs of secondary pneumonia.

Thanks to the timely and effective treatment, fisherman Le Van Dong’s health has stabilized. He is currently under continued care at Truong Sa Island Infirmary.
