Notably, units effectively conducted civil defense activities, deploying nearly 9,000 military and militia personnel and over 360 vehicles for disaster prevention and search and rescue missions.

In addition, the Vietnam People’s Army delegation successfully participated in the grand parade commemorating the victory in the Great Patriotic War in Russia, leaving a strong impression on the host nation and international peers.

During the reviewed period, Party and political work was carried out seriously and with high quality. Highlights included the organization of activities marking the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth, the review of ten years of implementing the Politburo’s Directive No.05-CT/TW on studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle, and preparations for all-level Party congresses for the 2025–2030 term.

Concluding the meeting, Minister Giang called on agencies and units to build on recent achievements, draw lessons from shortcomings, and demonstrate strong determination to fulfill key missions for June.

He emphasized the need to strengthen management of the country’s airspace, waters, border areas, inland regions, and cyberspace, especially in strategic and key locations. He also stressed the importance of close monitoring, accurate forecasting of situations, and timely recommendations to address contingencies.

The defense chief instructed that inspections be conducted on the implementation of military and defense tasks, and that local military structures under the two-tier local administration system be streamlined towards an elite, compact, and effective model suitable for new conditions.

He also urged units to complete assessments for the first phase of this year’s training season and to organize training for parade contingents in preparation for the 80th anniversaries of the August Revolution and National Day. Regarding upcoming celebrations, particularly the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, he called for meaningful and well-organized activities.

Lastly, agencies and units were tasked with accelerating renovation efforts, digital transformation, administrative reform, and the development of science and technology in June.
