MND hands over school project to Dien Bien province
PANO - On January 6, authorized by the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense (MND), Military Region 2 Command held a ceremony to hand over a primary and secondary school to Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province.
Reportedly, the construction started on December 27, 2023, in Thanh Xuong commune, Dien Bien district, and was completed on December 27, 2024.

The 12,500-square meter project, with a total investment of VND 120 billion, was funded by the MND and other units, including the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel), the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB), and Saigon Newport Corporation. Military Region 2 served as the investor, and Corporation 789 undertook the construction.

The project was part of the activities in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day (December 22).
On the occasion, the Military Region 2 Command, the Dien Bien provincial People’s Committee and other units presented meaningful gifts to school’s teachers, staff, and students.
