Preparations for "Border spring warms up people's hearts" program reviewed

According to the report presented at the meeting, the program is scheduled to be held on January 9, 2025, in Pa Tan commune, Sin Ho district, Lai Chau province. Activities planned for the program include free providing health check-ups and medicines to local people, cultural performances, sports competitions, traditional games, and a photo exhibition. In addition, visits and gift-giving will be organized for families of war veterans, local authorities, people, and the armed forces in the area. A highlight of the program will be the "Border spring warms up people's hearts" art exchange, which will be broadcast live on VTV1 channel of the Vietnam Television.

To ensure the success of the program, the Vietnam Border Guard Command has coordinated with the Lai Chau provincial People’s Committee to arrange accommodations for delegates and oversee the organization of cultural and sports activities. Efforts are also being made to compile lists of individuals and families eligible to receive gifts. Preparations for the live broadcast, undertaken in collaboration with the Vietnam Television and local authorities, are nearing completion.

The Vietnam Border Guard Command has ensured the availability of medical supplies and assigned medical personnel to providing free health check-ups and medicines during the program. Additional measures include strengthening border area security to maintain safety for the program, enhancing information dissemination to promote the event.

At the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien praised the Vietnam Border Guard Command for their proactive efforts in preparing for the program. He emphasized the importance of thorough planning to ensure the event is organized in a thoughtful and warm manner. He urged the relevant units to further review the program’s content, ensuring it remains both impactful and unique while adhering to safety and security measures at all activities.
