Under the direction of Lieutenant General Le Hien Van, Deputy-Director of the General Department of Politics, delegates discussed and agreed on outstanding achievements of the youth in the military in the combat.

Accordingly, under the sound leadership of and attention paid by Party committees, chains-of-command, political commissars, political departments at all levels, cadres and youth union members have brought into full play their vanguard and creative role in fighting wrongful viewpoints on the Internet and social networks in line with each unit’s conditions and capability, reaping important outcomes.

Notably, the Military Youth Board has actively and proactively coordinated with agencies and units to make suggestions and proposals to the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the leadership of the General Department of Politics while directing its affiliates to better education and ideological orientation and raise resistance, awareness and responsibilities among youth as well as boost their revolutionary movements.

The board has also paid due attention to building strong youth union organizations, strong and healthy Party cells, comprehensively-strong units in combination with preventing “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” within their units and spoiling hostile forces’ “military de-politicization” scheme.

During the seminar, speakers proposed certain measures to develop youth’s role in the combat.

Addressing the event, General Van highly valued the proactiveness and high sense of responsibility of the Military Youth Board, the Department of Information and Training and the Military Science and Technology Institute in organizing the seminar and spoke highly of high quality opinions and presentations at the event.

To promote the military youth’s role in the combat, General Van emphasized the need for boosting information dissemination and education to further raise awareness, responsibility, political willpower, ideological stance among youth, while raising their abilities to discover hostile forces’ sabotage plots and schemes and the danger of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation.” This aims to improve their resistance and immunity against bad and malicious information and wrongful viewpoints.

The senior officer also underscored youth’s good information and sharing of experience in expanding good models, creative deeds and timely reward for groups and individuals with active participation in the combat.
