Addressing the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Tang, Deputy Political Commissar of the school, emphasized that the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign has become a broad-based revolutionary action movement among young people across the country. It serves as a practical environment for youth to develop, contribute and mature, while helping translate the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies on promoting the role of young people in the nation’s new era of development into concrete actions.

For military youth, the volunteer movement provides an opportunity to demonstrate their pioneering spirit and creativity. Military youth are always ready to undertake difficult and demanding tasks, contributing to the successful fulfillment of military and defense missions, strengthening military-civilian solidarity, and further promoting the noble qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.

On behalf of the organizers, Colonel Nguyen Quang Huy, Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board, officially launched the campaign. The event will focus on key activities, including environmental protection, climate change response, presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries and national contributors, supporting disadvantaged households and outstanding students from difficult backgrounds, and providing “VND 100 houses” for military personnel facing particularly challenging circumstances.

The campaign will also promote activities during the “July Gratitude Month” to mark the 79th anniversary of Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs’ Day.

In particular, military Youth Union organizations actively respond to the 500-day campaign to accelerate the search, collection and identification of martyrs’ remains with the highest level of commitment and effectiveness. Priority will be given to the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to re-constructing portraits of fallen heroes and to further disseminating “stories from glorious years,” helping preserve and pass on the nation’s heroic historical legacy to younger generations.
