The university is tasked to train personnel for different units of the Ministry of Public Security, the Laos People’s Army, and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. Its graduates have effectively fulfilled all assigned missions and met requirements in the industrialization and modernization period, contributing to preserving and promoting values of national culture and arts and raising the cultural life of people in mountainous areas, border areas, and on islands.

Over the past ten years, the school has sent 19 cadres and instructors to study in foreign countries, and three of its personnel won gold medals at international music and dance competitions. At present, the school has one Associate Professor, five People’s Artists, and 12 Meritorious Artists, and it is one of the top schools in the military.

Speaking at the conference, the school’s Director Senior Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thuy agreed with reports delivered at the event. He said that apart from achievements in carrying out the strategy, there remain shortcomings that need addressing, so as to meet educational and training requirements in the new period.

According to the Director, the school targets to build itself into a smart school with a contingent of competent and creative instructors, modern facilities, and active international cooperation in education and training to catch up with the development of culture and arts, journalism, and communications in the fourth Industrial Revolution.
