At the event, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong inquired after and encouraged troops to bring into play the tradition of the Hung King Land and heroic Viet Tri city as well as the vanguard and voluntary spirit of youth. He urged the new recruits to strictly observe discipline and promote studying to raise their political stance, ethics of troops, and their readiness to undertake and fulfill all assigned missions.

The chief of the General Staff and leaders of localities expressed their strong belief that the province’s youths will continuously strive to become eminent troops to deserve the trust and expectation of local Party organizations, authorities, people, and their families.
Emphasizing that military environment is a “great school,” and many troops of the province have become generals in the military, General Cuong hoped that the enlisted will try their best to be able to serve in the military for a long time.
According to the Phu Tho provincial Military Command, in 2022 the province hands over troops to 11 military units. To ensure the quality of enlistment drive, military agencies at all levels made recommendation to and helped local Party committees, authorities and military councils build recruitment plans in line with the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
As a result, the quality of enlistment work in the province is much higher than that of previous years in terms of health, education and political awareness. 70% of the enlistees graduated from high school, and 1.2% hold university and college degrees. More than 30% of the enlistees attended Party knowledge courses.
Together with providing health check-up to youth, localities in the province paid attention to giving shots of COVID-19 vaccine to enlisted youths. Thanks to the effort, most of the recruits in the province have been given three jabs.
At the event, local Party committees, authorities and organizations presented gifts to troops and their families to encourage them to fulfill military service.

This year, thanks to thorough preparation and strict implementation of recruitment work, Tam Dao district has selected and provided quality recruits for the military.
On February 17, provinces and cities in Military Region 4 completed the handover of youths to military units. This year, the quality of recruitment work of localities in the military region is higher than that of previous years with around 60% of enlistees having graduated from high school and 5.9% holding university and college degrees. 20.4% of new recruits are ethnic minority people, and 7.4 % are religious followers. 100% of the enlistees have been provided will two doses of COVID-19 vaccine before heading to their units.
