Military Region 9 reviews 10-year implementation of resolution on raising training quality
PANO – The Party Committee of Military Region 9 held a conference on August 3 to review ten-year implementation of the Central Military Commission’s resolution 765-NQ/QUTW on raising the quality of training in the 2013-2020 period and the years to come.
Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang attended and spoke at the event.
Reports delivered at the conference revealed that over the past years, the Party Committees and Chains-of-Command of Military Region 9 and agencies and units at all levels have been fully aware of the role of training and fostered direction to ensure the comprehensive implementation of training mission.
Agencies and units under Military Region 9 have regularly renewed methods of organizing training, exercises, tests, competitions, and festivals and conducted training to raise its troops’ mobility and individual combat skills as well as their abilities to work with other arms and services. As a result, the training quality has been improved, and officers’ management and command ability has been enhanced, greatly helping the military region’s armed forces well fulfill assigned missions.
Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang asked the Party committees and chains-of-command of Military Region 9 and agencies and units at all levels to continue studying higher levels’ resolutions and directives on training.
The deputy chief of the General Staff urged the military region’s armed forces to conduct training in line with the motto of “Basic, practical, solid training.” He urged the military region to propose new measures to raise the quality of training and conduct training for militia force as regulated.
