The meeting was chaired by General Ngo Xuan Lich, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defense, with senior defense leaders, representatives of the ministry’s affiliated organs and units in attendance.

The event showed the care of the defense ministry’s leadership to the development of young talents, thus contributing to encouraging them to make greater contributions to the building of the military as well as the national construction and defense cause.

Briefed upon the military’s youth movements over the past time, General Lich applauded the achievements of military youths in general and the exceptional young individuals in particular. Reportedly, the military’s youth movements were comprehensively implemented over the past year with remarkable outcomes, contributing to the military development, the defense reinforcement and the fatherland’s protection. General Lich stressed that the outstanding young faces represented thousands of good servicemen in the whole military, who are beautifying the noble virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the current context.

In addition, the Defense Minister required the Party committees and chains-of-command of all defense agencies and military units to effectively carry out higher levels’ resolutions on youth movements. He noted that the military youth should actively study to continuously enrich their knowledge, improve their professional expertise and master new military technologies and equipment.

At the event, General Lich handed over decisions of rank promotion and certificates of merits to the outstanding young faces.

The honored delegates expressed their wish to receive more support from higher levels’ leadership, and promised to continue striving for better achievements, contributing to fulfilling their units’ missions in the time to come.
