Addressing the launching ceremony, Colonel Tran Viet Nang, Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board held that the defense ministry has issued Directive No.39 on blood donation programs in the military in response to Decision No.43 of the Government choosing April 7 as the “Voluntary Blood Donation Day” every year.

Under Directive No.39, the blood donation programs have been implemented comprehensively across the military, contributing to treating and saving thousands of troops and people. Notably, the whole military troops have donated over 52,000 blood units last year.

According to statistics of the Military Hospital 175, over 350 blood units were collected at the launching ceremony. These blood units will be used to serve treatment of patients, wounded and sick soldiers in Military Hospital 175 and the Truong Sa Island Infirmary.
