The reinforced troops honored at the event

In September 2021, the hospital received 20 enlisted troops of the Military School of Army Corps 4 to support COVID-19 patient treatment at the hospital’s COVID-19 Patient Treatment Center.

During six months working at the hospital, all troops strictly observed military discipline, the hospital’s regulations, and pandemic prevention and control measures while maintaining solidarity among them and with the hospital’s personnel. They successfully assisted doctors and nurses of the COVID-19 Patient Treatment Center and wholeheartedly provided care for patients.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 175 Colonel Bui Duc Thanh thanked the Military School of Army Corps 4 for sending its troops to assist the hospital in patient treatment. He affirmed that troops’ assistance has helped the hospital fulfill its task of COVID-19 patient treatment.

The hospital’s leader emphasized that the reinforced troops overcame all difficulties and actively acquired new knowledge to better meet task requirements. He expected that the troops will apply their experience and knowledge to their task performance, thus helping their unit fulfill missions in the coming time. 

So far, the hospital’s COVID-19 Patient Treatment Center has received and treated around 6,000 patients, including those with severe symptoms and underlying medical conditions and foreigners. Notably the center also used extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) to successfully treat patients with severe illness, including pregnant women.

In acknowledgement of the troops’ contribution to COVID-19 patient treatment, Military Hospital 175 presented certificates of merit to the 20 troops of the Military School of Army Corps 4.
