Military and civilian units to boost progress of Phan Thiet airport project
PANO – It is important and necessary to accelerate progress of the Phan Thiet airport project to its early completion. This will help military units carry out training programs for pilots and socio-economic development of Binh Thuan province.
This was stated at a meeting
between the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense and Binh Thuan
provincial Party Standing Committee to review the efficiency of instructions on
military, defense, and socio-economic development missions in the coastal province. General Ngo Xuan Lich,
member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defense, and Nguyen Manh Hung,
member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee co-chaired the meeting.
The two sides exchanged and reached a consensus on some measures to boost their coordination in leading and instructing the implementation of military, defense, and local economic development missions in the coming time. One of the participants’ major concerns was to effectively implement the Prime Minister’s instruction on constructing Phan Thiet airport.
To boost the project progress, the Ministry of National Defense and Binh Thuan province will promote their coordination and carefully assign military units and agencies and the province’s relevant organs to effectively implement the project.
