Over the past five years, the “Determined to win” emulation movement and commendation work of the academy has been closely associated with the patriotic emulation movement and campaigns of the Party Central Committee, Central Military Commission (CMC) and Ministry of National Defense (MND). The work has been implemented in a comprehensive, effective and synchronous manner, contributing to raising the quality of education, training and scientific research; making considerable changes in building regularity and maintaining military discipline; and improving the quality of material and spiritual life for officers, soldiers, instructors, cadets, and employees. The emulation movement has given rise to numerous innovative and effective models, along with exemplary individuals and collectives.

On behalf of the CMC, leaders of MND and GDP, Sr. Lt. Gen. Trinh Van Quyet applauded obtained achievements of the academy and honored exemplary collectives and individuals in the “Determined to win” emulation movement over the past five years. He also required the Party Committee, the Board of Director, chains-of-command at all levels to heighten the spirit of solidarity, creativity, good teaching and learning, while promoting the “Determined to win” emulation movement to create a driving force for collectives and individuals to accomplish all assigned missions.

The GS chief underlined that the academy should continue strictly grasp President Ho Chi Minh’s patriotic emulation, the Party’s guidelines and policies, the State’s law, and the CMC’s and MND’s resolutions and directives; strengthen leadership, direction and education to raise awareness of officers, soldiers, instructors, cadets and employees about the position and role of the “Determined to win” emulation movement and commendation, thereby fulfilling all assigned missions.

The academy should regularly innovate the content, form and measures of emulation work; combine the emulation movement with political task accomplishment, the “Determined to win” emulation movement with the "Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle” movement; build clean and comprehensively-strong Party organizations and “typical and exemplary” unit, to name but a few.

Meanwhile, the academy should effectively implement the CMC’s Resolution No.1657 on innovation in education and training, meeting the requirements and tasks of building the military in the new situation; promote the student-centered “teaching and learning” method; improve the quality of specialized practice; and raise the training quality of military officers in logistics and financial sectors.

The academy should focus on policies to attract and use talents, build a team of high-quality instructors and educational managers meeting the standards.

The academy should actively pursue digital transformation and administrative reform to create a smart school. It should foster internal solidarity, uphold the legacy of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the modern era, and effectively promote and develop exemplary individuals throughout the military.

Sr. Lt. Gen. Trinh Van Quat directed that right after the ceremony, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the academy will make a specific plan to concretize and successfully implement the directions, goals, and tasks of emulation and commendation work for the next 5 years as determined by the congress.
