The conference
Facing adverse situations of natural disasters and risks of epidemics as well as staff shortage, the medical sector of the service still ensured good health of troops and medical supplies for the service’s regular missions, combat readiness and unscheduled tasks.

Particularly, the sector organized education programs on HIV/AIDS prevention for all agencies and units of the service; examined health of and vaccinated fresh enlistees against tetanus; launched blood donation drives and collected 7,200 blood units; took due care of health of pilots; provide regular health checkups for some 97% of the officers, soldiers and workers at the service; treated 2,000 troops at division-level hospitals and 7,700 troops at the Air Defense and Air Force Medical Hospital; and ensured 98.6% of the troops meeting health requirements for their tasks.

The conference also discussed measures to overcome difficulties and limitations to reach more achievements in 2017.
